The G Pen Dash is a small, cool vape for dry herbs that fits easily in your hand. It’s really convenient, works well, and doesn’t cost too much.
It’s about the same size as a bic lighter and almost as small as the Vessel Compass (which is one of the best vapes for oil cartridges we’ve looked at).
Because it’s small, has different heat settings, and is easy to use, all for under $100, the G Pen Dash is a good choice if you’re new to vaping dry herbs.

How to Use the G Pen Dash
Using the G Pen Dash is easy. It’s like using a simple button on a remote. It works kind of like other small vape pens. The lights show you how much battery is left and how hot it is.
Here’s how to use it:
- Take off the top part that connects with magnets. Put some crumbled dry herb inside. Put the top part back on.
- Turn the device on or off by clicking the button five times.
- Change the heat by clicking the button three times (Blue is a little hot, Green is medium, Red is very hot).
- The device will shake a bit when it’s ready to use at the heat you chose. Then you can start taking puffs.
Experience
The G Pen Dash is a small vape for dry herbs that fits nicely in your hand. It feels strong because it’s made of metal and looks cool.
Using the Dash is really simple. It heats up pretty fast and has three different heat settings.
Heat settings
Out of the three settings, I like the middle (green) one the most. I hardly ever need to make it hotter than that.
When it’s on the lowest (blue) setting, you’ll taste good flavor but not a lot of vapor. On the middle (green) setting, you’ll get good flavor and a decent amount of vapor.
Cool vapors
The Dash has a twisty thing in the part you put your mouth on, and it’s covered by a rubbery thing. Surprisingly, this keeps the mouthpiece from getting too hot.
Other things it does
Also, the Dash lets air in easily and vibrates to tell you when it’s ready to use.
The Dash has a lot of cool stuff and works well for its price. If you use cannabis a bit, it’s a really good choice and it’s good for beginners.
The top part comes off easily because it’s magnetic. The hole where you put the herbs is shaped well, so your crumbled weed goes right in.
Downsides
There are a few things that might not be great about the Dash. First, the little screen at the bottom of where you put your mouth can get blocked easily. You need to take gentle puffs so that stuff doesn’t get sucked into your mouth. Also, remember to clean the screen a lot so the Dash keeps working well.
The battery isn’t too big, it’s 950 mAh. But that’s okay since the vape is small. I haven’t used up the battery completely, but I could use it for a couple of rounds. If the battery does run out, you can still use the vape while it’s charging.
The part where you put the herbs is small too, it can hold about 0.2 grams. If you don’t smoke a lot or just a bit, this is okay. But if you smoke a lot, this might not be enough. You’ll need to keep filling it many times.
